Comet Lemmon taken by Theresa Zittritsch of Williston on 10/21/2025 with a ASI6200MM monochrome camera with Chroma RGB filters camera through a The telescope is an Astro-Physics AP110GTX telescope with 0.83X focal reducer on an Astro-Physics Mach2 mount. I used the JPL ephemeris to track the comet vs. the stars..

Pixinsight was used to process the data. I took 13 images each of R, G and B at 90second exposures in RGB succession. The stars trailed in 90s so used blurxterminator to correct the star trails and used typical pixinsight comet processing and processed the comet separately from the stars. This was a very challenging comet as the skies low in the west were not clear and contained significant clouds and/or haze which challenged me to remove gradients for a pleasing image. I shot the comet on 2 nights, but only the night of the 21st had useful data. Just too few good frames from the 22nd. In any case, it’s not perfect but it’s ok. I particularly like the dust trail moving away from the comets ION trail. I hope you enjoy it. A note: 300k is very for an astrophoto, might be better to allow a couple of mb.
As always, the Eldorado star party is a fun and friendly place to visit.
