For the second day in a row clouds cleared off as the night came on, and I’ve once again treated myself to touring the Milky Way as a clear and distinct object, for a change from city observing. The Andromeda Galaxy was visible to the naked eye as well, and I spent some time just refreshing myself on constellations and named stars. Was surprised how much I remembered for someone who took a 17 year hiatus before returning to astronomy.
